Within walking distance of Klondyke Cottage are the Klondyke Causeway, the Royal Canadian Legion Marina, and the Shearstown Estuary. For a person used to walking, the "Road to Yesterday" Museum, Christopher Pratt Art Gallery," and the Shoreline Hertiage Walk will offer good exercise in the fresh sea air.

Bay Roberts features many community events all year around. During the summer Klondyke Days is held in late July and early August. "A Time in Pigeon Inlet," a dinner theatre featuring Kelly Russell is held every Saturday through the summer.
